YouTube threatens to ban users who question masks effectiveness

The tech giant has come out with their “Covid-19 medical misinformation policy” and buried deep in that policy are the clauses that allow the company to de-platform anyone who uses the Socratic method of asking the questions, examining the facts and learning from each inquiry.

The clauses state that anyone who “Claims that wearing a mask is dangerous or causes negative physical health effects” and “Claims that masks do not play a role in preventing the contraction or transmission of COVID-19” will be in violation of YouTube’s “misinformation” policy.

YouTube also states that people making claims that “wearing” masks cause oxygen levels to “drop to dangerous levels” or “Claims that masks cause lung cancer or brain damage,” and “Claims that wearing a mask gives you COVID-19” will also be punished.

Which is something doctor Fauci said saying in his 60 minutes interview in 2020 that wearing a mask will actually put a person at higher risk due to the fact that they will constantly touch their face and rub their mask.

They also do not want people promoting Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine as even one of several possible treatments for Covid-19. They also are strongly against any content that talks about covid-19 side-effects such as “Claims that an approved COVID-19 vaccine will cause death, infertility, miscarriage, autism, or contraction of other infectious diseases.”

Violation of these terms could result in either a “strike” or “removal” with repeat violators being subject to lose their channel or account. Policy stating 3 strikes in a 90 day period will mean termination of not just the content but the entire channel.

YouTube terms also state “We may also terminate your channel or account after a single case of severe abuse, or when the channel is dedicated to a policy violation.”

The policy which applies to all and does not take into account differing opinions by various medical practitioners or scientists who not only question various methodologies such as the best immune-therapies but also the effectiveness of masks.

Either way the platform no longer allows for the scientific method or Socratic inquiry on these subjects. Some would say when entering the YouTube reality leave your minds at the door and your questions at home because YouTube apparently doesn’t want a world of thinkers but of heeder’s.
