White House press secretary Jen Psaki raised the alarm during the daily briefing. When she said, “We believe we’re now at a stage where Russia could at any point launch an attack on Ukraine,” Then went on to say “I would say that’s more stark than we have been.”
Putin has amassed 100,000 troops along Ukraine’s border according to the White House intelligence briefing.
According to a New York times report Russia has begun evacuating families of staff at diplomatic locations in Ukraine, which could be an indication they plan to escalate activity in Russia.
Psaki said, it is an “extremely dangerous situation” and they have urged Putin to not invade Ukraine. She also said the Biden administration would continue to explore ways to deter Putin from taking any military action in Ukraine.
