North Korea’s missile launch what happened?

On January 30, 2022 people watched on a news station in Seoul South Korea a missile being launched in North Korea. They continue their war drills and this launch was one of the most powerful missiles launched in years.

North Korea is doing more weapons tests and they are testing weapons that are the most powerful used in at least five years. One of their launches traveled 1,242 miles up and then went into the ocean approximately five hundred miles away. This statement was made by Japanese and South Korean governments. There have been no injuries or deaths reported.

The Military confirmed that “this missile hit a top speed of a Mach 16, or 16 times the speed of sound. “Our military is tracking and monitoring related North Korean movements and maintaining a readiness posture” the Joint Chiefs of Staff told reporters. South Korean President Moon Jae-in said the 2018 pledge to stop testing long-range missiles and nuclear devices may have been broken. It violated Nations Security Council resolutions.

President Moon said “The move is a challenge toward the international society’s efforts to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, stabilize peace and find a diplomatic solution” to this problem between North Korea and everyone else.
