President Donald Trump spoke out on the raid on his residence by the FBI. He released a statement saying, “Number one, it was all declassified,” Trump wrote in a statement released to reporters. “Number two, they didn’t need to ‘seize’ anything.”

The FBI list of seized documents provided to the Trump team included “Various Classified/TS/SCI documents,” and “Info re: President of France, and an “Executive Grant of Clemency re: Roger Jason Stone, Jr.”

It also included items that were described as a “potential presidential record,” a “binder of photos,” a “leather-bound box of documents” a “handwritten note” and “Miscellaneous Secret Documents”

The issue at hand according to the FBI is whether president Trump declassified all the documents at mar-a-lago a president can declassify documents at any time during their presidency, but they can not do it retroactively.

We also know that in addition to Trump saying they are declassified. In May, (long before the search warrant) former Trump administration official Kash Patel told certain News agencies that the president had already declassified materials at Mar-a-Lago.
